Crispy Bhindi/Ladies Finger
How about some crispy but non-fried bhindi masala? Health bhi aur taste bhi.
Ingredients:
- Ladies finger 100-150 gm
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Amchur powder 1/2 tsp
- Besan/Rice flour/Cornflour 1 tbsp
- Sesame seeds 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Wash the ladies finger and trim the ends. Dry it with a clean kitchen towel and slit it into quarter and cut it into 2 inch long pieces.
- Sprinkle salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, amchur, sesame seeds and some rice flour/besan/cornflour. Toss well.
- Heat oil a flat non stick pan and add cumin seeds.
- Add the ladies finger into the pan and mix gently.
- Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes. Now open the lid and let it cook till it becomes crisp.
- Serve it with rotis or hot rice and dal. Or pack it in yours kid’s lunch box like I do 🙂
