Mushroom Pepper Masala
A jhatpat mushroom recipe with very less spices and oil. Ideal health food for mushroom lovers.
Ingredients:
- Onion 1 big
- Green Chilly 1
- Capsicum 1
- Button Mushroom 200 gm
- Tomato 1
- Spring onion 4-5 sprigs
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder 1-2 tsp
- Oil 1 -2 tsp
Method:
- Chop the spring onion bulbs finely. Slit the green chilly and chop the capsicum and mushroom into cubes. Finely chop the spring onion greens and keep all these ready.
- Heat oil in a kadhai or a non stick pan and saute the onions and green chilly till it is translucent.
- Add the mushroom pieces, green chilly, salt and turmeric powder and mix well. The mushroom will release its water. Cook till the water is almost dried.
- Add the pepper powder, tomatoes, capsicum pieces and saute for 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with rice and dal.
