Easy Potato Curry
Potatoes, onions and tomatoes are staple vegetables in every home, right?
So here is a simple subzi ready in less than ten minutes. This recipe uses very minimal oil and spices, yet it is super yummy and flavourful.
Ingredients:
- Potato 3-4
- Onion 1 big
- Tomato 1 big
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Refined oil 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves 1 sprig
- Coriander leaves 2-3 sprigs
Method:
- Peel the potatoes and delete dice it into 1 inch square cubes.
- Slice the onion thinly and chop the tomato.
- Heat oil in a pressure pan or cooker and add the mustard seeds.
- When they splutter, add the curry leaves and onion. Saute for 1-2 minutes.
- Now add the turmeric and chili powder and cook for half a million.
- Add the potato pieces, tomato, salt and mix well.
- Pour half cup water and cover the pan with the lid. After it comes to a boil, put on the whistle.
- After a whistle, reduce the flame and cook for 4-5 minutes. Switch off the flame.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with parathas or phulkas or pack in your kid’s lunch box.

Hi dear, I made Whole Wheat bread using water roux. But my bread didn’t rise to make a dome on top. I followed the instructions. But mine is not looking like yours. My pan size is 8.5×4×2.5 from base and taper to 9.5×5 at top. Can you please guide.
Yours is a bigger tin. Might have to use around 500 gm flour to get perfect dome.
