Paneer-Potato Fingers
This is a very simple and easy finger food for the vegetarians. One of Neha’s favourite and I make it for her birthday party every year. You can either fry these in hot oil or the health conscious ones can opt to shallow fry them in a non stick grill pan. I usually shallow fry them in my grill pan. Tastes yummy as it is or can be dipped in tomato sauce or mint chutney or coriander chutney.
Ingredients:
- Paneer 200 gm
- Potato 4-5 medium ones
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Chat masala 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves 3-4 sprigs
- Bread slices 2
Method:
- Boil the potatoes and mash them well when it is cooled.
- Crumble the paneer and add it to the mashed potatoes.
- Pulse the bread slices in a mixer till it is crumbly and finely chopped the coriander leaves.
- Add the salt, chilli powder, chat masala and coriander leaves to the paneer-potato-bread crumb mixture and mix it well.
- Shape them into kebabs or rolls or fingers or any fancy shape.
- Keep them in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
- Deep fry them in hot oil or simple sprinkle 1 teaspoon of oil in a non stick grill pan and shallow fry them till they are nice, crispy and golden in colour.
- Serve them hot with any dip of your choice and impress your loved ones 🙂
