Shallot Chutney 2 (Green)
A third version of shallots or Madras onion chutney. Yet another favourite chutney of hubby, he loves it with idlis. People who love the pungent taste of fresh onions will surely love these. If you are not a big fan of fresh onions, please do not attempt to make these 🙂 But it gets ready in just few minutes… Its my mom’s quick fix recipe.
Ingredients:
- Shallots 7-8
- Green chillies 3-4
- Salt to taste
- Coconut oil 2 tsp
Method:
- Peel the skin of the shallots and wash it clean.
- Grind the shallots, green chillies and salt with little water till it is just ground coarsely.
- Drizzle with little coconut oil and serve with hot steaming idlis.
- One can add few pieces of tomato while grinding in case the green chillies are too hot to handle.
