Vada Pav Chutney
My version of the spicy chutney served along with vada pav 🙂
Ingredients:
- Peanut 3 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Shredded coconut (optional) 2 tsp
- Sesame seeds 1/2 tsp
- Garlic 5-6 cloves
- Bread crumbs 1 tbsp
Method:
- Roast the peanuts till it is done. Cool and remove the skin.
- Dry roast the garlic and sesame seeds.
- Now grind the entire ingredients in a dry mixer.
- Make a coarse powder and store in airtight containers.
- Serve it with vada pav 🙂
Notes:
- Adjust the amount of chili powder according to your preference.
- I saw some recipes which suggested to add the crumbs of toasted pav and some suggested to put the crumbs that we get while frying the vadas. I have added bread crumbs and believe me it tastes very much like what you get from the traditional vada pav outlets.
