Whole Wheat Cheesy Garlic Pull Apart Bread
Made these flavourful pull apart bread with whole wheat flour. Loaded with cheese and filled with the delicious flavours of garlic and herbs, it is sure to tickle your taste buds. Perfect with a bowl of hot soup or any cheesy dip, this is a must try.
Ingredients:
- Wholewheat flour 2 cups (250 gm)
- Salt to taste
- Sugar 1-2 tsp
- Instant yeast 1/2 tsp
- Diluted milk 1 cup minus 1 tbsp
- Garlic cloves 8-10
- Chilli flakes 1 tsp
- Mozzarella cheese 3 tbsp or more
- Butter as required
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves a small bunch
- Parsley optional
Method:
- Mix flour, salt, sugar, yeast and knead into a smooth and elastic dough using the milk.
- Apply oil to avoid the dough from sticking to your hands.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl and allow it to rise till it is double in size.
- Punch out the gases from the dough and knead for a minute or two.
- Roll the dough into a big rectangle of approximately 14 by 12 inches or so.
- Apply some butter on the rectangle. Now, sprinkle some finely chopped garlic, coriander leaves, parsley and chilli flakes on top.
- Finally, top it with a nice layer of grated cheese. Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut these in to big rectangles with sides equal to the length and breadth of your bread tin.
- Grease a bread tin with oil and keep it ready. Line it with a parchment paper if needed.
- Stack the small rectangle pieces one above the other and arrange it in the bread tin.
- Keep the bread tin aside for 20-25 minutes till it is a bit puffy.
- Apply some milk wash on top and bake it in a preheated oven at 180-190 degree Celsius for 30-35 minutes or till the top is nice and golden in colour.
- Remove from the oven and apply some butter on top. Cool them on a wire rack and serve it warm with any soup or dip of your choice.

Use around 1.5 to 2 times of the mentioned instant yeast
Also activate the yeast first with lukewarm water and sugar. Keep.ot aside for 10-15 minutes till it is frothy
