Veg Hakka Noodles
I am sure most of the kids love Hakka noodles. This is a simple easy to make recipe and which is quite mild and do not use any sauces. It’s quite simple and goes well with a spicy Gobi Manchurian or chilli paneer. Use vegetables and seasonings of your choice.
Ingredients:
- Hakka noodles 1 pkt
- Salt to taste
- Shredded cabbage 1 cup
- Sliced carrot 1
- Julienned capsicum 1
- Mushroom sliced 3-4
- Sliced beans 6-7
- Garlic 2-3 cloves
- Garlic powder 1/2 tsp
- Onion powder 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
- Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Spring onion greens 2 tbsp
- Oil 2-3 tbsp
Method:
- Cook the noodles as directed in the packet. Boil 1-2 litres of water in a big sauce pan and add some salt to it. Drop the noodles and cook it for 2-3 minutes till it is half cooked. Strain the water and spread it on a plate and sprinkle some oil on it to prevent it from sticking to each other.
- Keep all the chopped vegetables ready.
- Heat oil in a big iron wok or frying pan and add the finely chopped garlic pieces.
- Add the vegetables, salt and stir on high flame for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of water.

- Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot with Gobi Manchurian 🙂
