Shallots Chutney-2
Another version of shallots or Madras onion chutney. Though not liked be me and Neha, I make it frequently for my hubby, since he loves it with idlis and dosa. People who love the pungent taste of fresh onions will surely love these. This is a regular chutney in my in law’s home. It gets ready in 2 minutes once the onions are peeled and kept ready.
Ingredients:
- Shallots 7-8
- Red chillies 5-6
- Salt to taste
- Coconut oil 2 tsp
Method:
- Soak the shallots in water for 5-10 minutes. This helps to peel the skin easily.
- Peel the shallots and wash it with water.
- Grind the shallots, red chillies and salt with little water till it is ground well.
- Drizzle with little coconut oil and serve with hot steaming idlis
