Chocolate Cookies
What do you do when you have left over ganache with you after making doughnuts? Yes, you are right… add some flour and make a delicious chocolate cookie for your kids and make them happy. This is a typical “jugaad” kind of recipe.
Ingredients:
- Oats 1/2 cup
- Maida 50 gm
- Whole wheat flour 50 gm
- Brown sugar 1 tbsp
- Vanilla extract 1 tsp
- White chocochip 1/4 cup or as required (optional)
- Baking powder 1/4 tsp
- Butter 75 gm
- Melted chocolate ~100 g
- Milk 1-2 tbsp if required
Method:
- Cream butter and sugar till it is light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and other ingredients and make a dough. Do not knead hard.
- Keep the dough in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and keep it ready.
- Pinch out small balls from the dough and shape them as desired and bake at 160 degree Celsius for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and transfer onto a wire rack. They will be soft when you remove them from the oven and will eventually harden after cooling.
- Cool these cookies on a wire rack and store in airtight containers.
